Aesthetic Nurse

Jen Schorre is a passionate aesthetic nurse with an illustrious 20-year career in nursing. With 15 years of invaluable experience in emergency medicine followed by 5 years dedicated to the artistry of aesthetics, Jen brings a unique blend of expertise to Micallef Plastic Surgery.

Driven by a philosophy rooted in achieving natural results, Jen specializes in facial balancing utilizing a multimodality approach. She believes that nonsurgical treatments such as injectables should be undetectable. Known for her meticulous attention to detail, Jen approaches injectables as an art form, ensuring that every patient maintains their unique beauty.

Jen is committed to providing the best patient experience. She prioritizes genuine connections and fosters lasting relationships. She is dedicated to helping her patients look and feel their best so they can be the best version of themselves.

Jen is a proud army wife and mother of 2 amazing kids and 1 fur baby. She loves to travel and explore new destinations with her family. She also finds joy in the simplicity of a good home-cooked meal and going to church on Sundays.

Leah A. Cornelius, PA-C

Advanced Practice Provider/Aesthetic Injector

Leah Cornelius began her journey in aesthetics after transitioning from aerospace engineering to healthcare. As a skilled Physician Associate, she now specializes in aesthetic medicine, offering advanced, minimally invasive treatments designed to enhance her patients' natural beauty. Leah’s expertise centers around facial balancing, a technique that harmonizes facial features to create a more symmetrical and youthful appearance. She believes in the power of subtle adjustments, helping her patients feel more confident while preserving their natural look.

Leah holds a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She combines her medical training with the analytical and problem-solving skills she honed as an aerospace engineer. This unique blend of expertise enables her to take a holistic approach to aesthetics, thoroughly evaluating each patient’s needs and crafting personalized treatment plans that address both the physical and emotional aspects of beauty.

Leah’s practice emphasizes a patient-centered philosophy, focusing on achieving overall facial harmony rather than treating isolated areas. Using techniques such as dermal fillers, neurotoxins, and other non-invasive procedures, she customizes each approach to deliver natural, balanced results. Her background in both engineering and medicine gives her a distinctive perspective on aesthetic care, where precision and artistry intersect to elevate her patients' well-being.

Christine Gammage

Practice Manager

Christine was born into a proud military family that instilled in her a deep love of country and a strong work ethic. Originally from Connecticut, she grew up in California and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Christine began her career working through college as a merchandise manager for Gap, eventually running multiple high-performing locations.

After returning to her hometown of Merced, CA, she led the Conference and Visitors Bureau before relocating to Seattle, where she transitioned into the medical field. With over 10 years of experience, Christine has served as a Patient Coordinator for a renowned plastic surgeon, gaining expertise in body and facial procedures. She is highly skilled in surgery center operations, HIPAA regulations, and patient privacy. Christine also successfully managed an aesthetics practice, attending master-level trainings and ensuring exceptional patient care and outcomes.

Outside of work, Christine enjoys spending time with her husband of 19 years, their 12-year-old daughter, and their beloved pets. An avid reader and horseback rider, she values staying active and continually growing in her faith. Her passion for aesthetics and wellness drives her commitment to helping others feel their best.

Tatiana Ruiz

Patient Care Coordinator

Tatiana is Dr. Micallef’s Patient Care Coordinator and office manager. Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, she grew up in a country known for its rapid growth in the aesthetic, dermatological, and cosmetic industries. Surrounded by a society with a strong focus on beauty and innovative technology, Tatiana developed a keen eye for aesthetics. Her background in design and construction reflects her passion for architecture and design. She enjoys salsa dancing and traveling, and is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Tatiana supports Dr. Micallef by managing his clinical staff and schedule, consulting with new patients, booking surgeries, and ensuring all patient questions are answered throughout the process. Whether it’s helping with surgery preparations, financing, or recovery questions, she is dedicated to ensuring each patient feels heard, educated about their procedures, and receives a first-class experience. Tatiana is committed to empowering patients to make informed decisions about their beauty and health journeys.

Madeline Bonilla

Med Spa Manager & Patient Care Consultant

Madeline began her career as a medical scribe at Cook Children's Hospital, where she developed a meticulous attention to detail and a profound understanding of patient care dynamics. She then transitioned to a role as a medical spa associate, spending a year and a half honing her clinical skills, managing precise medical records, and deepening her expertise in aesthetic treatments.

These experiences have solidified her passion for healthcare and commitment to exceptional patient care. Madeline has since received comprehensive training in all aspects of skincare and participated in multiple laser training sessions to stay at the forefront of advanced treatments. Outside of the clinic, Madeline is an avid traveler, exploring diverse cultures and destinations worldwide.

Christine Bell

Licensed Aesthetician and Certified Laser Technician

Christine Bell is a dedicated aesthetic professional with a rich educational background. She holds multiple accreditations, including Licensed Esthetician from the Aveda Institute and Certified Laser Technician from the Texas Laser and Aesthetics Institute. Her passion for advanced treatments led her to become a Certified EON Technician and Microneedling Specialist. With a background in dermatology and plastic surgery offices, Christine stands out with her extensive product knowledge and expertise in treating surgical scars.

In addition to winning the Best Facial in Austin for 2023, her accolades include her recognition as the #1 Coolsculpting account in Texas for six months in 2016 and her involvement on the Allergan Skinmedica Expert Panel in 2017. Christine’s commitment to patient satisfaction and safety is evident through her work, particularly in helping patients with skin concerns regain their confidence.

Christine's life outside the clinic is enriched by family activities and mentoring Estheticians just coming out of school on more advanced aesthetic treatments. She is from the east coast and enjoys watching her children play football, cheering on the Baltimore Ravens, going on outdoor adventures, playing with her two shepherds, and spending summers with family by the lake and river.

Kelly Smith

Licensed Aesthetician and Certified Laser Technician

With five years of experience in the aesthetics industry, Kelly is dedicated to helping her clients achieve radiant, youthful skin while preserving their natural beauty. Specializing in anti-aging treatments and overall skin health, she takes pride in developing personalized plans that address each client’s unique goals, delivering subtle yet impactful results.

Kelly’s approach to aesthetics centers on enhancing her clients' natural features—helping them feel like the best version of themselves. Known for her meticulous attention to detail, advanced techniques, and warm demeanor, she has become a trusted guide in her clients' skincare journeys.

Beyond her professional achievements, Kelly finds her greatest joy in her family. She is deeply fulfilled by the love and support of her husband and two children, whom she considers her proudest accomplishment.

Jill Scoggins

Licensed Massage Therapist

Jill Scoggins is a Licensed Massage Therapist with 20 years of experience, dedicated to providing personalized care for patients in pre- and post-operative recovery. In 2014, she earned her certification as a Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist, followed by becoming a Certified Lymphedema Therapist in 2021, with advanced training in the Vodder Technique of Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Complete Decongestive Therapy through Norton School of Lymphatic Drainage Therapy. Jill further broadened her expertise in 2015 by becoming a Certified Lypossage™ Therapist under Charles Wiltsie.

Known for her versatility and expertise, Jill is often described as a “Jill of All Trades and Master of Many.” Her passion for learning and teaching led her to become a Massage Therapy Instructor in 2017, where she prepares students for the MBLEx and leads classes in holistic practices such as Reiki, Meditation, and Chakra Healing. Her extensive certifications also include Master Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner, Hypnotist, Life Coach, and Tarot Mastery. In 2021, she completed a four-year shamanic seminary and became an Ordained Minister, reflecting her commitment to personal and spiritual development.

When she’s not working or teaching, Jill enjoys connecting with friends and family worldwide through RPG and strategy video games, which have inspired her to travel and explore new destinations.

Lina Ballance

Front Desk Manager & Client Consultant

Lina comes from a rich background in the beauty and hair industry, where her passion for customer care truly shines. With a focus on patient-centered service, she goes above and beyond to provide reassurance, answer questions, and offer expert knowledge to help clients reach their aesthetic goals. Lina is dedicated to treating each patient individually, ensuring they receive a top-notch experience that makes them feel confident and cared for throughout their journey.

Originally from San Diego, California, Lina moved to San Antonio with her husband and young son, bringing a bit of the coastal lifestyle with her. Their adventurous spirit led them to pack only what they could fit in their cars and drive across the country to their new home. Despite her love for her new city, Lina still seizes any chance to travel back to the Southern California beaches she holds dear. Above all, she treasures spending time with her family, whether enjoying a night out or staying in to make cherished memories together.
